ID: MC Jan/14 - Monochrome - HB with Love card
size: 5"w x 5.5"h

Created: January 26, 2014
Modified:

I was checking out my challenges and one was monochrome, and another was white + 1 color and I wanted to use my new bottle of Modeling Cream by Viva... so one thing led to another and this is the results.

I'm also using a sentiment and parts of other stamps  from Quietfire Design

I lay my stencil (Crafters Workshop "Kasbah") on my side folded white card, taped it down so it wouldn't move and applied the modeling cream (Champagne) with a Catalyst applicator. Removed stencil and set it aside to dry.

Another new acquisition was a stamp set (HOTP "Fresh Cuts"), so I made a stamp silhouette image of the small flower, cut a bunch of them with my electronic cutter, and while still on the mat, stamped them with versafine Black Onyx, then removed the flowers and clear embossed them. Painted with another new acquisition (Art Quest Metallic Watercolor Palette "Pastelle"), set them aside to dry. When dry, added a bead of Liquid Pearls "Ocean Blue" in the center of each flower, set aside to dry again...

Used my glue gun to adhere my blue Sari ribbon in a scrunched up way. Then adhered the pearl lace ribbon. Then the little flowers, then tied a small bow with the Sari ribbon.

Stamped the sentiment on some white cardstock and clear embossed. Then stamped the individual pieces "with" (from the 10 tiny sentiment set) and "Love" (from the Love Lives Here). Die cut using Spellbinders Classic Hearts set. Sponged Distress blue with a dirty sponge. Added cross hatching stitching marks with a blue Zig Writer. Adhered to card.

To finish it off added white pearl flourishes
