I've been enjoying the little urges I've been getting this year... this time it was to do something girly... I love doing feminine oriented cards rather than male cards, but I'm not really in to "girly" stuff...

I'm also using a  quote & sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design

I punched out the embossed button (Martha Stewart) from some scrap Ruche cardstock on my desk, that I dabbed some Distress Stains ("Mustard Yellow" & "Picked Raspberry) and misted with water and dried prior punching. After punching, dabbed with Distress Emboss It dauber and clear embossed.

I also punched it from some regular cardstock to use as a stencil to sponge the blue "Tumbled Glass" circles on the front and inside of the card. I then punched the cardstock with a regular hole punch and sponged the green "Shabby Shutters".

Die cut from white cardstock the large and smaller die from Spellbinders "Floral Oval" set. Sponged with Distress "Scattered Straw" heavily around the edges and lighter toward the center.

Used my alphabet stencil I made a while back and ran through my machine to emboss another piece of white cardstock. Adhered my die (Spellbinders A2 Curved Rectangles), then sponged the green. Then used the pad direct to paper to get the high points, then die cut. This sequence left me with the white border. Wrapped it with a blue Sari ribbon (love these ribbons). Then created a multi petal bow from loops and end pieces and held together at the center and on to the card with a large pearl brad. Adhered this rectangle layer to the card front.

Stamped the girl (Stampendous "Deco Lady") using Verafine Black Onyx, then fussy cut around here. Colored with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and a waterbrush. Added a few glitter areas using a Wink of Stella gold pen.

Stamped the quote with the black on the floral oval, adhered the deco lady, then adhered that to the card front.

Die cut the clothes pins (Joy Craft "Sweet Pins") and sponged some blue. Cut a slit so it would wrap around my die cut oval, then adhered the legs.

Tied orange toned thread through the button holes and adhered to card. Added two beads of Quickie Glue pen to the oval and sprinkled with Glitter Ritz  micro fine glitter "Rich Gold", also added glue to the stars in the background of the deco lady and sprinkled with silver glitter Ritz.

Stamped the sentiment with the black on the smaller oval. Used my Scor-It to score the fold line which acts as my easel stopper.

Stamped the thread/tape measure (Our Daily Bread) with the black, fussy cut and colored with the Derwent. Adhered to card.
