This was supposed to be a one layer card... but I didn't like what was happening so went in a different direction. I also had this itch for daisies.

I'm also using a  quote stamp from Quietfire Design

I started by sponging Distress "Salty Ocean" through a stencil I had made the other day using Spellbinders "Fleur de Lis Square" die set and my electronic cutter. Then added some "Mowed Law". as I said above didn't like what was happening..., then decided to put some black outlining details following the stencil design. Didn't like that either. Set my card aside. Then used my black marker to color around the outside edges of the stencil, creating the frame design. Lay that on my card for another day.

Today I had this urge to make daisies, but none of my dies gave me the daisy petals I wanted... you know with the little notch on the petal tip, and the slight neck shape near the base... So started hand drawing a daisy, then scanned it and cut with my electronic cutter. Love the daisy - BIG GRIN, it has a Tim feel to it as it's a little distressed and not every petal is perfect.

I used a fine tipped stylus to put vein lines down each petal. I then sponged some "Mustard Seed" in the center and a little out towards the petals. Shaped the petals around a small dowel. Layered two together and then added the dimensional dots in the center using Liquid Pearls "Butterscotch", then adding some "Cantaloupe" and then adding a bit of Viva Pearl Pen "Dark Brown". Set them aside to dry.

In the mean time, I liked the offset look of the frame I had made the other day, so adhered it to my card front. Stamped the quote with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

I now needed some daisy type leaves, so used Sizzix Tim's "Tattered Leaves" die and white cardstock. Sponged with "Mowed Lawn" then some "Forest Moss". Added vein lines then swiped my "Mustard Seed" over the whole leaf. Like the color tone that created. Adhered them to my card, then layered the flowers on top.

One of the challenges called for ribbon, but there seemed no room to add intelligent ribbon... Then I was digging in one of my ribbon drawers and came across some ribbon ends and started sticking them under the flowers just like I would do with a vase of flowers adding sprigs here and there. Really liked the look...
