I didn't get around to doing the January tag... but decided to have a go with February's tag...

I'm also finally starting to use the hundreds of excess sticker material from postage stamp booklets. It has such a good adhesive on it, I always figured it was a waste to throw them away, hence I have an iris container full of them - BIG GRIN

I'm also using a new technique I picked up on the Gelli Plate blog sealing Pan Pastels - really good video by Carolyn Dube - apparently it was a technique by Mary Anne's from scrappystickyinkymess.

I'm also using one of the newest Valentine stamps from Quietfire Design

I side folded my cream cards, adhered a piece of purple toned pearlescent wrapping paper (Paper Roots stash).

The tag is white cardstock which I laid Tim's stencil "Harlequin". Sponged Pan Pastels in various shades of purple's, pink's and blue and some of the Metallic Gold. Removed the stencil and used my Gelli plate to seal the pastels using a very thin layer of Golden's Matte Medium. Love the way it turned out...

Another new technique was the chalkboard effect from Tim's tutorial using black cardstock and embossing with Antiquities Frosted Crystal, then going over the crystal with a piece of chalk - I used some white Pan Pastels...

I also found that using my regular heat gun didn't work as well, so ended up using Tim's heat gun. I die cut it with Spellbinders "Reverse Wonky Rectangles".

The heart is the postage sticker material which had printing on it... so used my white Distress Paint dauber, when dry, then did Tim's marbling technique with the paints and some white. Die cut with Spellbinder's "Classic Hearts" set.

The spray of tiny flowers is leftover stuff from a previous card. I had cut a bunch of them with my electronic cutter, stamped then with Versafine Black Onyx, then removed them from my mat and painted with watercolor paints. when dry, added some iridescent strokes using a Wink Of Stella brush. Then added dots using Liquid Pearls "Cantaloupe".

The scrabble tiles I created in my Excel spreadsheet, printed out, then roughly sponged with various Distress browns and clear embossed. I separated the letters, but it spells "hearts" or "he arts".

The butterfly border, I applied a piece of copper tape to some cardstock, die cut with Tim's On the Edge Butterfly die, then used embossing folders (Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" & Crafts Too "Leaves") and my hammer to selectively emboss the outer butterflies. Then used a paint dauber "Seedless Preserves", allowed it to partially dry, then wiped off the excess.

Assembled all my elements, adhered to card, adding the Sari pink ribbon, and the pearl flourishes.
