I Love Cosmos, but have a hard time trying to grow the,=m SIGH!! A friend brought me some in a bouquet, and then I decided to make some paper ones...

I'm using an quote stamps and Birthday sentiment on the inside from Quietfire Design

I drew a cosmos petal and then eCut a bunch of them at two sizes on some hand colored cardstock with my electronic cutter. I had colored the cardstock, direct to paper with Distress Spun Sugar on both sides. After cutting, I scored veins in the petals, then more Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry or Seedless Preserves. Adhered the petals to a small punched circle. Finally I added a glob of glue in the center and pressed some yellow Flower Soft to it.

Colored another piece of cardstock, direct to paper with Peeled Paint and then Shabby Shutters, both sides, then sponged some Mowed Lawn all over. eCut some cosmos leaves.

Adhered a piece of blue Ruche cardstock to the front of the card leaving a 1/8" border all around. Then adhered the leaves and the blooms.

Wrote the word "Cosmos" using a 6.0 Parallel Pen, scanned the calligraphy, then eCut as well as cutting a shadow layer. Painted the layers with Distress acrylic daubers in green and then some bronze. The shadow layer I painted with the copper. adhered both layers together, then applied Glossy Accents to the top layer. Dried and adhered to card front.

As a final touch add the large white half pearls on each corner.

On the inside, stamped the quote and birthday sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Stamped the vase/flowers (Flourishes "On The Desk Of") with the black. Colored with Prisma colored pencils
