I was definitely not happy being asked to make 3 Xmas cards, each one more complex than the previous one using the same stamps etc... but then I started making them and couldn't believe how easy it was. Sheesh...

I'm using the newest Xmas stamps from Quietfire Design

I'm using the holly berries stamp from Flourishes set #SS214 Naturally Merry on each card.

I side folded my white card. Inked up the stamp using Distress "Worn Lipstick", then over coloring with Distress Markers in 2 shades of green "Shabby Shutters" all over the leaves then a flick along the veins with "Pine Needles", misted with water and stamped onto my card front, leaving the stamp in place for a few seconds to allow the water to activate the color.

Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx.

Cut a stencil, 1/2" h x approx 5"w rectangle from cardstock. Placed the drop out where I wanted my border type design to land, held that in place and placed my stencil down, adhering it with removable tape, then removed the drop out piece. Inked up the stamp as above and stamped in the stencil area. Repeated for lower border area.

When dry, used a matching green Distress marker to draw lines for the border.

I side folded my white card. Using the same watercolor technique as above, stamped the image on the left side of card front, and without re-inking the stamp, just misting with water, stamped a 2nd generation border, turning the stamp to an unused portion to continue stamping around the edges.

Colored the berries with a red Distress marker, when dry, added Glossy Accents to each berry. Set aside to dry while doing the next step.

Die cut a bunch of holly leaves (Sizzix Tim's "Lampost" die set) from some greenish decorated cardstock. Cut the leaves apart and sponged a bit more of the greens over each leaf, then used the green marker "Pine Needles" to add veins. Applied a globs of white glue (Aleene's Tacky glue) and stuck leaves in the glue globs so they stood up at an angle. Allowed that to dry thoroughly.

Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx.

I created the easel by cutting white cardstock to 7"w x 10"h, folding it in half and then folding one of halves in half again. So scored on 2.5" and 5".

Embossed the front easel section using Sixxix "Steampunk" folder, then repeated for the floor of the easel. Sponged with Distress "Old Paper" and touched here and there with "Vintage Photo".

Die cut the green layer with Spellbinders Grand Labels #28, ran through with Sizzix "Holly Leaves" folder, sponged with Distress "Shabby Shutters" and a touch of the "Old Paper". adhered a small piece of gold glittered ribbon to the right side in the center.

Stamped the quote with Versafine Black Onyx on white cardstock, die cut with Spellbinders "Decorative Labels #8", sponged some of the paper around the edges. Adhered to green layer. Created a bow from the glittered ribbon for the left side, attaching it with Tim's stapler "tiny attacher". Adhered these layers to the easel front piece (lower half only)

Stamped the berries on a separate piece of cardstock as previous cards. Colored the leaves with Prisma colored pencils laying a layer of a light olive, then a few flicks of a pine color, and a flick of red, then blending in circular motion with a Lyra Splendor Blender pencil. For the berries I applied Viva Pearl Pen Red dots. Allowed to dry and then applied dots of white with Ranger's white Enamel Accents. Allowed that to dry, cut out around the leaves and adhered to green layer.

Die cut another Labels #28 piece, folding a piece of white cardstock in half so I could get the size I wanted. Align the edges of the folded area at the same point on the left and right side of the die and tape down, then die cut. The fold line will disappear with the next step.

Emboss the Holly leaves on the die cut and color as above.

Stamp the sentiment with the black and die cut with the Decorative Labels #8. Sponge with the Old Paper and adhere to small green layer and then onto card floor with 3D tape. This becomes the stopper for the easel front.
