I've been meaning to do some cards with poinsettias and finally got around to it.

I'm also using part of an Xmas stamp from Quietfire Design

I side folded my white card, ran it thru my machine with Tim's poinsettia embossing folder. Hit the high points with a dirty red sponge. Sponged the edges with Distress "Gathered Twigs". Used Tim's distresser to rough up the edges.

Poinsettia was die cut from white cardstock using Tim's "Tattered Poinsettia" die. Placed the florets on my craft sheet and sprayed with Dylusions red on both sides. Semi dried and then scrunched the petals (yes my hands are still dyed red 2 days later...). When completely dry, hit the high points with a Versamark pad and embossed with Queen's Gold. Assembled and glued the layers. Added the center piece, sponged with Distress yellow. Then added dots of Viva "Yellow Quartz" glitter liner. Adhered the flower to my card front.

Quilled the pieces of the leaves and adhered to card.

Stamped the quote with Versafine "Black Onyx.
