ID: MC May/13 - Quill - Lattice HB card
size: 5"w x 7"h

Created: May 17, 2013

Another good quilling session this past Wednesday. I recently made a new gadget similar to my previous gadget made from mini craft sticks to make fern or pine type leaves. This time I used wide craft sticks, then coiled each frond with my quill tool. See below pics of my gadgets. The gadget uses a combing tool technique.

I'm also using a  birthday sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design

I side folded my white card. Die cut the Spellbinders Expandable Lattice from a light mint Bazzill monochromatic cardstock. PS - I kept all the drop out little squares - you can see that card on my blog on May 24th...).

All the quilled elements, except the white used to wrap the petals and the stems, are done with decorated Arches Text Wove paper and die cut with Cheery Lynn expandable quilling strip die. After assembly, I adhered some large & medium sized white half pearls to the flower centers.

Stamped the sentiment using Distress red and touching lightly with a brown pad, then clear embossing on the same green cardstock drop out piece from another die cut. Sponged some brown around the edges. Adhered to card with 3D foam squares. Added the flourish half pearls.

Die cut the butterfly (E Craft Designs "Small Butterfly") from white cardstock. Sponged distress Worn Lipstick, then applied Perfect medium and embossed with Stampendous Stamp 'n Bond embossing powder. Sprinkled Ranger's Stickles Fine Glitter "Stardust" and reheated to set. Adhered to card with a foam square.
