ID: MC June/13 - Quill 2 M's card
size: 7"w x 5"h (closed Easel)

Created: June 16, 2013
Modified:

One of my cousin's kids is getting married in September, so i thought I'd make them a card wishing them well. BIG GRIN

and, sigh, I'm not using any stamps from Quietfire Design, .

I used a pearlescent textured off white cardstock for the base of my easel card.

Punched the heart frames using Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page "Hearts/Loops" set on white cardstock. Sponged Distress "Picked Raspberry" lightly, then "Shabby Shutters" around the edges.

Drew in the Letter "M", thickly and pointed on the upper "M" and thinly and rounded on the lower "M" to symbolize the male/female relationship. Filled in the areas with Zentangles. Then wrote in the little quote - "2 M's as one". Their names are Michael & Megan.

The flowers are from the palest pink edged with a gold Krylon leafing pen. The center portion of each petal has a deeper pink surrounding it and the same pink around the whole petal. All the flowers have a large white half pearl center except for the focal flower which I put a heart shaped pearl embellishment.

I adhered various die cut leaves & flourishes from my stash, then the flowers, then a couple of my quilled fern sprigs.

I used the same punch set put a smaller rectangle shape this time. Sponged the same colors around the edges. Wrote in the words with a Copic liner "Remember to Love, Cherish & laugh a lot". I think hose are good words for a newly wed. Adhered it to card base with 3D foam tape to raise it up and act like part of my stoper.

Adhered a few more flowers and die cut leaves.
