ID: MC Feb/13 - 3 Flowers - Flourish HB card

I've got quite a few birthdays in March... this one's for my sister (the middle one...). I came across this flower and altered it a bit and then printed it out on regular white cardstock, colored with watercolor pencils, added all the dots with a black gel pen, then cut it out.

I'm using the Birthday stamp from the "10 Tiny Tag Sentiment" set  & my favorite stamp "Flourish & Grow" from Quietfire Design - Suzanne kinda made that stamp for me.

I was playing with colored cardstock I could use as a background color for my flowers and everything I tried just paled in comparison to this bright canary yellow cardstock. It just made me smile. So I die cut the Spellbinders "Floral Ovals" from it and also made the easel card from the remnants. Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

One of the challenges was to use blue and I just thought this vibrant blue went so well with the pink flowers and yellow oval. Very graphic. Adhered my elements then onto the easel.

Another challenge was to include 3 of things... So I have a pile of things in multiples of 3... buttons, pearls, layers, colors, ribbon, flowers, butterflies.

Stamped the lace piece onto the floor of the card using Perfect Medium and embossing with white embossing powder. Adhered my 3 narrow ribbons, then the HB sentiment stamped onto white cardstock, cut with Spellbinders "Fancy Tags" using my hard rubber mallet because I wanted the tag to be shorter than it was, sponged around the edges with Distress Broken China.

Die cut the largest butterfly (Elizabeth Craft Designs "Small BFly" #713 from some scrap cartdstock. Applied Quickie Glue to the solid part of the BFly and sprinkled with Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter "Warm Highlights".

Adhered my 3rd cut out flower to the floor to act as my stopper.

Since I was working in multiples of 3 I needed 2 more BFlies... So I used my mallet and my colored yellow cardstock and a Memory Box Butterfly Vine Border die and just cut out the 2 from the top of the die. Added a black body with a micron pen.

The buttons are die cut from the same colored yellow cardstock I made (sponged with Distress Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick & Broken China), using Memory Box "Scalloped Buttons" set, tied with some dark blue twine and adhered to card.
