I just got this Impression Obsession background stamp "Logs" CC162 and was looking at it and said it reminded me of orange or lemon slices... but after getting home realized I would need an intermediate step to achieve the look I was aiming for... I also had this calligraphy urge and song going through my head.

I used a quote stamp I especially find true from Quietfire Design

I stamped the background stamp onto a piece of white cardstock and scanned it, then manipulated it to get me a kind of stencil/silhouette image. Cut it out with my electronic cutter.

Inked up the stamp with  Distress "Squeezed Lemon" and hit it here and thee with "Mustard Seed". Placed my stencil over the stamp and then placed my cardstock over that. Pressed down with my fingers to get the inked stamp through the stencil opening. Removed the stamp and inked up through my stencil using Versamark. removed the stencil and clear embossed. Used Distress Stains "Shabby Shutters" all over then with "Mowed Lawn". Dried it and cut the piece in half to adhere to either side of my multi folded card.

My card was scored at the1.25", 2.5", 7.5" and then at the 8.75" points, and the balance of the cardstock cut away (1").

I adhered the lemon background on the edges and made sure it matched perfectly in the center.

I stamped the lemonade pitcher and lemons (Onyx Expressions "Lemons") using Versafine Black Onyx on a separate piece of white cardstock, colored them in, added Glossy Accents to the ice cubes, allowed to dry, then hand cut them, then adhered them to the card front.

I had the die cut vine in my stash (Cheery Lynn designs "Fanciful Flourish"), colered it with Distress pads and removed some of the vines before adhering to card. Did some quilled lemon blossom flowers and leaves and added the single lemon cut out.

Stamped the quote on another piece of cardstock, cut out and adhered to two layers colored with colored pencils. Adhered and attached to card with the 2 yellow brads.

Did the calligraphy using a 1.5mm Parallel Pen (this is a rare occasion I use the smallest nib...) and Sumi ink on our Guild's white calligraphy paper, cut out, sponged some yellow around the edges and adhered to inside of card. I was playing with a little bit of twisting of the pen. Need more practice.
