I created 2 cards using the same stamps and technique - you decide which you like better...

I'm using the newest Xmas stamp from Quietfire Design 

I die cut the Xmas tree (Marianne Designs CR1224) from white cardstock to use as a stencil. This die is approx 6"h - it's a biggie...

Side folded my white card and sponged Distress Broken China through the stencil working from the solid part of the stencil into the open part in linear streaks. The stencil edges are fragile, so working in circular motions will ruin the stencil.

Keeping the stencil in place stamped my winter scene (Cornish Heritage Farms "The Pines") image using Versafine Black Onyx.

Stamped my quote with the black.

As a final touch used a decorative rotary cutting blade to cut the edges of the card above. And for the card at right did an outline border with a Zig Writer.

These are 2 very fast and easy cards and I will be making a bunch more of them for my Xmas stash BIG GRIN.

Die cut a bunch of buttons (Memory Box) from white cardstock and sponged various colors of Distress, then clear embossed each. Tied some twine and adhered to card front.

Die cut the stopper (Sizzix Tim's On Edge "Sewing" die) from white cardstock and colored the elements, adding some linear lines for the thread spools and some Pearlescent embossing powder on the metal spools. Kept a small border on the bottom to score and fold and adhered to card floor.

Stamped the other quote with the black and clear embossed. Used the Larger flower cut the other day as a stencil to sponge matching colors around the quote. Used some of the buttons as stencils as well
