ID: MC Sept/12 - Quill Red Flower - Piglet cards
size: 5"w x 7"h

Created: Sept 24, 2012
Modified:

Flowers made during my last quilling session and yesterday I was in a mood to do something lacy... Not to often I'm  in that mood.

I'm using a cute quote stamp from Quietfire Design

The quill strips are from red cardstock run through my pasta machine on a linguini setting.

I side folded my cream toned card and stamped the lace doily (Stampin Up "Hello, Doily") a couple times with Perfect Medium and embossed with Pearlescent embossing powder.

Die cut my lacy oval (Spellbinders "Floral Ovals") from a cream toned weave patterned cardstock. Stamped the quote with Versafine "Satin Red" and touching spots with "Vintage Sepia" - love two toned stamping.

Adhered my lace and ribbon at a diagonal, then adhered my lacy oval on top. Used a flat edge gold calligraphy marker to do my faux stitching, then went over it with a PaperMate Eraser Pen and embossed with gold embossing powder.

Tied a nice bow with the ribbon and adhered to card, then adhered my quilled flower. Die cut the leaves (Marianne Designs) from a silver flecked mulberry paper, cutting them apart from the stem to have individual leaves and adhered them randomly.
