I had this urge to see if I could edge some quilling strips with some gold ink... which led to making a little contraption to do just that (will have a post on that in early October), which led to the thought of gold leafing a piece of paper and cutting my strips by hand... love the results. Both snowflakes are created from 1 piece 6" x 6" gold leafed paper applied to a piece of white pearlescent wrapping paper (from my Paper Roots stash). I cut the strips by hand, not wanting to risk it going through my pasta machine and ruining them... One snowflake has the gold on the inside of the coil and the other snowflake has it on the outside. Not sure which I prefer.

And since the newest Xmas rubber hasn't been released to the public yet, I used some from a previous year, both of which I've used before and love from Quietfire Design

I embossed C'ordinations cardstock with the Sizzix Snowflake set, sanded lightly, and cut the design apart, adhered the two parts to my white card. Stamped the quote with Perfect Medium and embossed with white embossing powder.

Adhered some white lace trim. Punched a piece of white cardstock with EK Success slim edger "Bubbles". Cut apart a gold striped gauze wide ribbon and used two of the elements from it with the punched strip between them. Added some clear rhinestones.

Adhered the snowflake adding the pearlescent half pearl and gold string.

Stamped the quote with Versafine Vintage Sepia and embossed with Stampendous "Java Bean" on gold metallic cardstock. Adhered to white card base.

Embossed dark brown textured cardstock using Cuttlebug "Winter Wonderland" set. My cardstock wasn't dark brown enough, so sponged Distress Walnut Stain all over. Adhered to card. Adhered the red Ric-Rac using "Best Glue Ever". Adhered my snowflake adding the pearlescent half pearl and gold string.
