MC Oct/12 - 3 Gold Quilled
Snowflakes card
Created: Oct 27 , 2012 I saw a simple design for snowflakes on line and thought I'd make some. I made them in 3 sizes and am pleased with the results. I'm using, I think one of last year's, Xmas sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design |
I used a Sizzix Snowflake embossing folder on its side, on a cream toned card. The snowflakes are cream toned 1/8" papers, The largest is made with 11" lengths, the smaller one is with 7.5" lengths and the smallest with 5.5" lengths. Each snowflake uses 12 coils, 6 coils pinched at one end and heart shaped at the other end, plus 6 coils pinched into diamond shapes. When they were done, I lightly pressed a Versafine Toffee stamp pad on it and then embossed with Queen's Gold. When adhered to the card I added the white half pearl. The sentiment is stamped with the toffee and gold embossed, then die cut with Spellbinder's Wonky Rectangles, edged with gold embossing and adhered to card over the gold metallic ribbon with 3D adhesive squares. I adhered a piece of cream toned pearlescent paper on the back and inside to hide the ribbon ends. |
