I just took a weekend class with Lisa Engelbrecht again - fabulous - you can check out the calligraphy stuff I did in the class HERE. Love her style of lettering. Then someone tossed out the snowflake/butterfly quote on our Quietfire Design team group, and I came up with it to feel like a Haiku and was itching to put it down on paper...

Then I started adding the Xmas sentiment and stamped snowflakes from Quietfire Design

I wrote the letters on Arches Text Wove using a 2.4 Pilot Parallel pen, Dr Martins Tech Drawing Ink ("Winters Butterfly A" done in Indigo mixed with Schminke Rich Pale Gold powder & "Snowflake" done in Turquoise mixed with Neuberg E Ebel Fine Silver powder). Trimmed the piece down and layered onto a dark blue cardstock, then onto my dark blue easel front of card. Added a glitter Peel Off of a snowflake border in gold/silver. Stamped the snowflake a few times with Perfect Medium and embossed one of them with "Stardust" and the others with clear embossing powder. Added a pale blue snowflake brad.

Die cut the snowflake border (Sizzix Tim's "Snow Flurries" On The Edge die) from white cardstock, inked with Perfect Medium and embossed with the Stardust.

Stamped the sentiment on a separate piece of blue cardstock with the Perfect Medium and embossed with white embossing powder, then layered it onto a white cardstock and then onto the floor of the card.
