A little bit of punching, a little bit of die cutting and a thank you card is made...

A friend came back from a European cruise and bought me a box of chocolate... and I whipped up this card for her.

I used Martha Stewart double edge punch "Blossom Trim" from some white cardstock that I had sponged Distress Spun Sugar on. Cut around the petals to separate them from the punch out. Used a large balled stylus to shape the petals.

Used Marianne Design LR0162 leaf die and die cut leaves from a discarded piece of burgundy red Dreamweaver Stencil cardstock. It was the perfect color for these leaves. Wish I new the name of this plant - our condo complex has several of these perennial flowering bushes.

Wrote in my word "thanks" with a Nikko G nib and Sumi ink. When dry shadow outlined it with a pink colored pencil and an HB pencil and blended with a paper stump.

Assembled and adhered my elements, adding small burgundy toned half pearls. Stamped with the Heartfelt Creations leaf set and Aged Mahogany. Decided it needed something more, so added the Peel Off gold border... and it still needed something more, so used my rubber mallet and the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder to add the distressed embossing around the edges. Now it's done.
