I finally got around to making a male card for a really good friend.

I'm using one of the French sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design

I love playing with embossing powders and creating "background" type pieces.  So I took a larger piece of white cardstock and just smear it with Perfect Medium and then sprinkled various embossing powders and heat setting with Tim's heat gun. I have several heat tools, but this is the best one for not blowing all the loose powder all over the place... Anyway, I kept adding various colors and lots of clear powders until I got the look I wanted. as a final touch, I added glass beads to the mix. You have to be careful with those, since they melt if over heated.

I die cut (Spellbinders "Reverse Wonky Rectangles") it and used the largest die from the set for the bottom white layer, altering the size to fit. Then running it through my machine with the Crafts Concepts Stained Glass folder.

My main card is white, then the mauve Bazzill textured cardstock, then pieces of Mulberry papers and some decorated scraps I had laying around, then my embossed piece. Lay some Mizuhki cords, and a large green button strung with mauve cotton ribbon cord.

Stamped my sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx and punched it out with an oval punch. Sponged a bit of Distress around the edges with my dirty purple sponge.
