ID: MC March/12 - Weave Crocus - A Note card
5"w x 6.5"h

I entered a challenge over on Flourishes Blog, but didn't use one of their stamps. Bothered me... So whipped up another one. And then there was another challenge that asked for  some weaving...

I'm using a sentiment stamp from the 10 tiny sentiment set from Quietfire Design

So continuing with using my scraps, pulled out the drawer that has all these thin strips of cardstock and decorated cardstock. The scraps I put into this drawer, I know will one day end up in a weaving or similar project. Voila, this is one of them. I then die cut the woven square using Reverse Wonky Squares die from Spellbinders. Used the same die and hand cut using the outer edge to give me the white base piece. Adhered them together and adhered to card.

Stamped the Crocus (Flourishes "A Year in Flowers #1" set #8) using Versafine Black Onyx on white cardstock and coloring with watercolors. Die cut with Marianne Design (LR0168) die and sponged with Distress Scattered Straw. Adhered to card with 3D foam tape.

Stamped the sentiment and punched out with a large Fiskars squeeze punch Brick by Brick", sponged some purple around the edges. Tied a couple bows from narrow ribbon, attached them and the tag with a hat pin and then with Glossy Accents to the card. Adhered a long golden glass bead to the tip of the pin with Glossy Accents as well.
