ID: MC June/12 - Quill French Lattice - Thinking of You card
size: 5"w x 7"h

Created: June 10, 2012

This is another card started during my quilling group sessions last week. The center strip of a floral pattern. I don't often do patterns because your coils have to be all the same... a little more tedious. BIG GRIN. I also wanted to use my latest die from Cheery Lynn "French Lattice".

I'm using a sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design

I die cut the French Lattice from 110# cardstock, then used it as a stencil and sponged Distress Black Soot through the openings onto another piece of white cardstock, then clear embossed, trimmed it down, cut it at about a 1/4 way up and adhered the two pieces to my white card front leaving the space between the cuts open for my ribbon.

Made my quill pieces from two 2" pieces of a white and a black quill paper adhered together, then coiled around a small dowel, pinched at either ends. Made a little template to get my design straight and adhered them to a piece of white metallic cardstock. Added the little pink rhinestones to make the floral pattern pop.

Stamped the sentiment on the same metallic cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed, then die cut with a Spellbinders circle die. Used another circle die to cut the black cardstock and layered the two, then with a double layer of 3D foam tape onto my pattern piece.

Made a triple loop peg bow from the white gauze ribbon and adhered it to card.
