ID: MC June/12 - Emboss Quill Drops - Amazing card
size: 5"w x 7"h

After doing the embossed card yesterday, this sanding technique came into my mind... And of course my mind has a mind of its own, and even doing accounting stuff wouldn't stop the thoughts, so it had to come out.

I'm using one of the latest sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design

I ran Core'dinations cardstock (Nostalgia pad) through my embossing machine with the Crafts Too embossing folder "Floral Frame", then sanded the high points to reveal the lighter cardstock underneath.

Stamped the sentiment with a pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

Ran my main white card through my machine using the Spellbinders M-bossibilities folder "Flora". Adhered my blue piece in the center, then started adhering my quilled and die cut elements.

The foliage is a Marianne Design Leafy Branch done in reverse. The drop flowers are tight white coils which were then carefully extended and glued on the inside to keep their shape. When dry, colored the inside with a Tombow pink marker.

The butterfly is from a previous session where I didn't like the background I had made and then cut it up into quill papers. I had made a bunch of flowers and never used the butterfly... I had run a glue stick over the top and sprinkled Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter for a bit of sparkle.
