MC Jan/12 - Thanks Sew Much card
Created: January 13, 2012 I've been checking out Tim's new Sizzix dies and have to admit, I got really inspired when I saw one of his On the Edge dies of scissors, thread and other sewing notions... So created my own assortment and cut out with my electronic cutter. Love the way it turned out. And I'm using the flourished heart from Quietfire Design..

After cutting the sewing notion border,
I cut piece of Aluminum plumbers/electricians tape and adhered to my
border. Colored the rest with Prisma colors, added dots on my
thimble with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. Wrapped red
thread around the spool and adhered/sewed the buttons. The two on
the left are shell buttons from eons ago and then the pink on on the
right. Stamped a row of stitching (Tim's "Spring Sprung") using
Versafine Olympia Green and clear embossing. Added some pink half
pearls. Scored and folded my white card, then stamped a lace border (Flourishes "Country Charm Borders" #SS154) on the left using Perfect Medium and embossing with white embossing powder. Stamped the bottom lace border (SS154 set) with the green and clear embossing. Sponged Distress Peeled Paint over the whole card front. Adhered a white lace ribbon near the bottom, then the scissor border. Stamped some flowers randomly, using Color Box Chalk inks in a mix of blue and mauve. Stamped my words (Hero Arts "Happy Letters" CL385) with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed, then shadow shaded with both an HB pencil and a yellow colored pencils blending with a paper stump. Wrote in the word "much" with a Black Gel pen. Die cut with Spellbinders "Tear Drop Circles", sponging with Broken China. Stamped the little flourish heart with the black and added Stickles red in the heart. Touched the dots with Stickles "Waterfall" and the teardrops with the "Eucalyptus". Adhered to card. Punched out the butterfly (Martha Stewart "Royal Butterfly") from white cardstock sponged with Distress Festive Berry and clear embossed and adhered to handle of scissors. |
