ID: MC April/12 - Quill Beads - Happy Birthday card
size: 5"w x 6.5"h

Created: April 14, 2012
Modified:

I picked up a mini mold 3D shaping tool to make the cones for centers of flowers etc. Well I coiled and shaped a few, and was looking at them and said they'd make wonderful beads if they were stuck together at their bases... Well that's what I did. Then wrapped an other strip around the join point and added Stickles as a decorative detail.

I'm using a flourish stamp around the edges from Quietfire Design

I stamped the lady (Stampendous "Deco Lady") with Chalk inks on my cream toned card.

Punched out the swirly design (EK Success "Scroll Pattern") from cream toned cardstock and sponged Distress "Aged Mahogany" lightly on the edges, then adhered to card.

Stamped the Flourish stamp around the edges using the Mahogany pad.

Use the text "Happy Birthday" that I created years ago, manipulated it, then color printed it and covered it in Glossy Accents. Adhered to burgundy (Dreamweaver cardstock) die cut (Spellbinders "Fleur de Lis Squares"), then onto card.

My jewellery making leaves a lot to be desired... but I made my own wire loops and strung my beads adding the white pearl beads, then tied it to the card with the pink cotton cord.

Created the flower string art embellishment and adhered to card. I followed directions found HERE. Had to do it 4 times before I think I got it...

As a final touch, added the white half pearls in her hair and 3 mini round buttons
