I seem to really be doing quilling projects lately... But I have wanted to try my hand at doing piece work, so found this flourish-y design.

I'm using an oldie but goodie quote stamp from Quietfire Design

I had cut a bunch of thin cardstock quill strips in my pasta machine (linguini setting) a while back and decided to use them for this project working on a cream toned cardstock. Stamped the quote with Versafine Black Onyx, then penciled in a flourish line to connect the design with the quote, then adhered the quill strips - not my best calligraphic connection BIG GRIN...

Used the Cuttlebug Musical Flourish embossing folder and my rubber mallet to emboss the design, giving me a texture fade result. I then sponged Distress Scattered Straw, and the edges with Walnut Stain. Used Tim's distresser to distress the edges. Adhered it to a brownish toned cardstock, then onto my main card which has a pinky tone to it. Added very small amber rhinestones.
