October 18/11  "circle dies"

ID: MC Oct/11 - Circles - Snowladies card
5"w x 7"h

Created: October 10, 2011
Modified:

You always see and hear about snowmen and sow persons - what about snowladies...

Also one of the challenges is to be inspired by an Xmas song:
I'm a Little Snowman II (Sung to: "I'm a Little Teapot")
I'm a little snowperson short and fat.
Here are my buttons, here is my hat.
When the sun comes out, I cannot play.
I just slowly melt away!

This snow"lady" was so much fun to build - without getting cold, wet or uncomfortable. ROFL

I'm also using an Xmas stamp from Quietfire Design (slightly altered - BIG GRIN)

The main card is white, used a Frisket product to mask my moon, when dried, dabbed the card with Distress Stains, Pumice Stone, Broken China & Faded Jeans, misted with water, dried. Removed the Frisket and used a wet brush to bring some of the sky color through it. Added some scrape lines as the card was drying. Spattered some white ink for snow. Stamped the various trees (Local King Rubber "Trees 2") with the black, masking the shape of the land. Added the reindeer (fabric ribbon).

I die cut the 3 smallest circles from a Spellbinders circle set. Covered them with Aleene's True Snow and let dry. Dabbed distress Stains Victorian Velvet & Broken China, misted with water and Perfect pearls mist, rubbed a bit with my fingers to get just a light shadow/tint happening in the crevices. Stacked and adhered them together. added the plaid scarf cut down from a larger bow, edges fringed. Stamped the hat (SeeD's "Hats of to you") on some scrap cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx. Colored with Prisma colors. Cut out and adhered to snowlady, adding some dyed paper flowers. The eyes are mini blue buttons, covered with Perfect Medium and embossed with white embossing powder. The nose is a triangle of cardstock colored orange and touched with a black micron pen. The arms - I covered a piece of cardstock with Perfect medium and embossed with JudiKins Rustique Tin Can and a touch of Distress Vintage Photo, then die cut with Tim's Sizzix "Branch Tree" and cut off a couple small branches. Adhered to card.

Stamped the quote with Versafine Majestic Blue, crossed out the word "men" and wrote in the word "ladies" with a black Zig Writer.
