Needed a male card for one of my uncle's birthdays that will be coming up.

It uses the Happy Birthday stamp from Quietfire Design repeatedly stamped as a background and clear embossed

The dragon was cut with my Cricut, and the black portion is part of what was left on my mat. So I used a piece of Sookwang double sided tape to pick it up and then sprinkled Ritz micro fine glitter Warm Highlights all over it. Burnished well. Die cut the tape/glittered design with a Spellbinders Label 1, then cut the black layer with the same die but using an x-acto knife around the outside edge. I wanted a very thin border. I cut another piece of glittered background with the next largest size up.

I did make an error in assembly, but nothing I can do about it now. I had taken of the release paper from the dragon piece and lay it on the black layer. I had really wanted to put it on a white layer so the glitter would have been more of a white contrast, rather than the greyish tone it is now. C'est la vie.

The red background piece was repeatedly stamped with the Happy Birthday using Perfect Medium and clear embossing. The large glitter layer adhered, then twine wrapped around the the rest of the dragon layers. Black button, shank removed was added.

The horizontal bamboo pieces are made from Paper Clay pressed in to a Lisa Pavelka mold and air dried, then brushed with a diluted Perfect Pearls solution of Kiwi & water.

The Asian character for Happy Birthday is a rubber stamp from Prairie Rubber Stamps which I stamped on to cardstock, scanned, enlarged and cut with my Cricut on black cardstock. I wrote the words happy birthday" with a white colored pencil., then applied Perfect Medium all over and clear embossed. Used 3D adhesive squares to keep it popped up.

It was all layered on to a white main card leaving a miniscule white border.
