July 19/11  "ribbons"

It's not too often I do a "one layer" card, but one of the challenges I'm entering calls for that. I also just won some digital images from Pink Cat Studio and wanted to use one of them. And this week's challenge on Created By Hand is to use ribbons

This card also uses a couple sentiment stamps by Quietfire Design, the "Bon Voyage one is from the latest set called "Ten Tiny Tag Sentiments" and the other two words & Eifel Tower are from the "Francaise" 8pc set

I then punched out a stencil using EK Success Slim Edger "Fleur de Lis" from white cardstock, and sponged Distress Faded Jeans on the left hand side. I continued with sponging around the rest of the edges lightly. I used the "Running Stitch" embossing folder from Tim along those 3 edges and then sponged more Faded Jeans on the high points.

I stamped the Eifel Tower with Versafine Black Onyx and then positioned the two words with a stamp positioner.

I stamped the "Bon Voyage" and then with a 90% warm grey Prisma pencil, shadowed to make the tag. I added a thin orange double peg bow ribbon.

I used a Quickie Glue Pen to add glue to all the little circles on the hat box band, scarf and hat, then sprinkled with Martha Stewart glitter "Lapis Lazuli"

The button is a hand made one with Polymer Clay and I used a heart cutter for the shape, then stamped into the clay with a heart stamp, baked, and colored with Tombow marker in red, then wiped the color of the high points. Tied with some embroidery floss and adhered to card with Golden's extra heavy gel medium.

The final touch was adding  the cat's eye - a blue shaped rhinestone, and my words at the bottom with a Micron pen "Any room for me in there my friend?.
