I was surfing the web and came across some flowers made with a scalloped die and then fluffed up. I really liked it so thought I'd make a few. I used 4 layers of tissue paper which I stamped with a large background stamp (Harmonie "The Treasure") first using Versafine Habanera stamp pad. Tied the layers together with 2ply waxed linen black thread and a black button. They remind me of Poppies.

The sentiment is by Quietfire Design.

My main card is a bright red, then a layer of black, then the white layer which was dry embossed using the Cuttlebug Oriental Weave from the Asian Bundle set #2000011.

For the patchwork squares, I die cut the white with a Spellbinders square die, then put the die and cardstock die cut over the Circles Impressabilities which I first inked up with Distress Black, the through my machine again then thermal embossed it with clear embossing powder. The design came out a greyish tone which I'm very happy with. It didn't overpower everything. I used the same die and cut my black square using the outside edge of the die. Adhered them to the card, skewing them. I then added polka dot glue points and sprinkled with black Ritz micro fine glitter. Gave it a subtle bit of pizzazz.

I wrapped a lace white ribbon and a black lace edged ribbon around the black & white layers and tied a bow with the black ribbon, then attached my flowers. I also added a red butterfly eyelet.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx, then die cut it with Spellbinders Fancy Tag and sponged some Distress Fired Brick around the edges. Adhered it to the card with two tiny diamond brads that I thermal embossed with black embossing powder (didn't have any black brads).

As a final touch added various sizes of white half pearls.
