ID: MC Aug 11 - Sketch - ABCD card
5.5"w x 5.5"h

Created: August 20, 2011

OK, for this card I made a conscious decision to use a bunch of products from one of the challenges and a sketch from another. Both challenges have gifts being given by Flourishes. There was no need to use their stamps, but I did anyway.

I'm also using a design Gothic alphabet border stamp from Quietfire Design

The sketch you can see on my blog. The other challenge was a Bingo type and needed to use any 3 items in a straight row or a diagonal (1st row: square card, emboss, brads; 2nd row: buttons, die cuts, flowers; 3rd row: paper piecing, ribbon, 2DP). I believe I have a FULL CARD plus a few extra elements...  big grin

My first designer paper is the base of my card, love that paper. by Motifica called "Jade". The first vertical piece is a border punched out with EK Success deep edger "Le Floral Leaf" #54-50014, from white cardstock, smeared with the wide Zig 2 way glue stick, sprinkled with Recollections Extra Fine Glitter "Citron", when dry, burnished.

Next came the horizontal beige streaked paper with the Gothic alphabet stamped with Versafine Black Onyx. Faux stitching (Tim's "Spring Sprung" set) with the black.

Next vertical piece was the swirls designer paper (Provo Craft "River Rock" pad).

Next layer are the 2 circles, 1 large and one scalloped, punched from pale pink vellum - large circle edged with a Krylon gold leafing pen and the scalloped circle with an alcohol pink pen.

The next batch of vertical pieces are adhered to a piece of variegated seam binding ribbon. The row of buttons (Flourishes "Country Charm Borders" set #SS154) stamped with Color Box Rainbow pad, then clear embossed, cut out and adhered to the fancy beige toned lace, both of which where adhered to the variegated piece with Glossy Accents.

The flowers (Flourishes "With Graditute" - gift with FLIP) were stamped onto white cardstock and colored with Tombows, cut out and partially placed on top and below the variegated ribbon.

Added the ladybug brad. Die cut the butterfly (Tim's Mover's & Shapers "Mini Butterfly" set #857209) from pale blue metallic paper, run through with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, perfect Medium on high points and embossed with green. Three blue rhinestones added to body.
