August 2/11  "Greens - Hot Bath"

One of the new stamps from Quietfire Design is this hot bath quote that I've been itching to use, but I didn't have the bath image I was envisioning... and then I came across one that would make me happy from ScrollsWork (I know it's obsolete now since they closed down there business this month, but c'est la vie).

Now this image which makes me think Victorian, and they used lots of wallpaper with little designs on them, which is why I used the new leaf embossing folder I just got, but then the lady just disappeared into the background, so that's why the window came in to play, also a stamp I have never used, and then I needed something that made the quote stand out, so I used this oval frame from another new set I hadn't used yet. So all in all, everything is new here. BIG GRIN.

The background was first colored with Distress stamp pads direct to paper (Bundled Sage, Pumice & Crushed Olive), then sponged some color into the white areas. Misted it completely, then dried it. Ran through my machine with the "Branches Folder (Sizzix Fall Set #656469). Swiped one of the green stamp pads over the high points and embossed with Magnolia embossing powder.

The window (Another Stamp Co "Open Window" #LO1911) was also stamped on white cardstock with the black and the bottom section of the flowers masked out, colored with Prisma, cut out including the window panes.

The quote was stamped with the black, then masked to stamp the oval frame (Hero Arts "3 Floral Frames #CL384) with Versafine Spanish Moss and touched lightly with the black, and the flowers colored with Tombows.
