I continued to play with my Cricut. Found a bunch of shell images, cleaned them up and created a border design, then cut them out so they were a silhouette within my card frame.

I loved walking on the beach when I lived in PEI - its something I really miss. It always made me smile and be happy.

So after cutting the shells with my Cricut on cream cardstock, I placed a piece of wide Sookwang tape on the back. Sprinkled Distress embossing powders (Antiue Linen, Old Paper & Vintage Photo) creating my own sandy color, heat set and brushed it off with my fingers to expose the texture. Feels so much like sand I want to curl my toes in it.

Colored my shells with Prisma colors in various shades of yellows and ochre and a touch of salmon.

The bottom section is a piece of cream cardstock sponged with Distress stamp pads (Broken China, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire), misted with water, dried then die cut with Tim's On The Edge Scrollwork's die. I saw someone else use it as waves and it hit a chord in me. What a great idea. So basically mine is washing up at the shoreline and depositing the shells.

Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Blue Lagoon and clear embossed it.

Rubber stamped the flip flops (Michael's Value stamp) with Black Onyx and colored in with Prisma colors in yellow and blue. Then layered some paper flowers, adhered them to the shoes and added a large rhinestone. What better shoes to go exploring along the beach.
