ID: MC Dec - Rosette - A Smile card
4.25w x 5.5"h

Created: December 11, 2010

I recently bought another scoring board - yes I now have 3, this one is Martha's that I wanted to try out. Martha's has equal spacing right across the board - no thinking when it comes to scoring for a rosette. It worked ok if I remembered not to push too hard with the scoring tool. Good for cardstock but not so good for paper...

I've also been following Tim's 12 days of Christmas tags again this year. Lots of wonderful techniques and ideas. This card uses his tissue tape flower on his day 3 tag.

So I sponged Distress stamp pads (Worn Lipstick & Barn Door) over some copy paper. Stamped a speckle stamp with Brilliance Platinum, then cut out a 2" wide x 11" long strip. Started scoring (I did score every row, but only folded on every 2nd row, they were too small at 1/8"). I used a deckle edge rotary cutter to trim the top edge. I then adhered it to a small half circle to keep everything in place.

The tissue tape flower was quite easy to make and I adhered it to a small circle, added the orangey brad and then adhered it to the half rosette. I also sponge some Aged Mahogany on the high points of the tissue tape.

I cut a strip of green cardstock and punched out the holes with EK Success Swiss Cheese edger. I put double sided tape on the back, adhered it to my card and sprinkled Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter "Warm Highlights" in the holes.

I adhered the thin strips, which is what came off the rosette, with some glue. Added three green metallic glitter dots

Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Black Onyx onto white cardstock, die cut with Spellbinders circle die, sponged some Barn Door on the edges and adhered it to the card.
