gg designs challenge for October is coloring a solid type rubber image with watercolor markers or something similar, misting and then stamping on watercolor paper. Ida Abshier has a nice tutorial on gg's web site.

I used the large basket weave 3 square by 3 square rubber stamp from gg design. inked it up with Distress stamp pads (Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick & Brushed corduroy), inking the whole stamp with the straw and then touching areas with the lipstick & corduroy, misting the stamp and stamping on Arches Text Wove paper. Repeating the sequence to get four squares. When dry, I inked up the leaf stamp (also gg design) using Tombow watercolor markers in a yellow, then touched it with  deep green, misted and stamped on the basket weave design.

I rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) and clear embossed it. Trimmed my paper and adhered it to a deep orangey yellow Textura cardstock then onto my main olive toned card. Added the peel off "Thinking of You" (see below for details) onto a spare piece of the yellow cardstock and rubber stamped the corners with the basket weave stamp.

NOTE: These and other Peel Offs are my calligraphic word sentiments on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 11 styles available at the moment with another 2 to be available end of 2009 or begin 2010. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday, "Love"; "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary"
