ID: Flourishes - Day 5 - Pink & Green - Teapot card
7"w x 5.5"h

Created: March 12, 2010

Well this is the last day of challenges over on Flourishes website, they've opened a new shop and are doing a daily challenge on their blog with prizes to celebrate the opening. This is day 5 and you can find links to the previous days on my blog or clicking on my Misc Challenges Gallery below. Today's challenge was to use the colors Pink & Green.

I started with the lattice border (Martha Stewart border punch) on white cardstock. Punched 8 strips, coloring 4 with pink tones and 4 with green tones of Pan pastels. Then gluing them together, slightly off set to create a shadow effect. I then mitered the corners so the pieces would fit and merge together nicely and adhered them to a pink Bazzill monochrome cardstock.

Rubber stamped the teapot and cups (gg design Teapot/Cup set), the cups (the outline stamp) with Versafine Toffee and embossed with Queen's Gold, then rubber stamped the flowers (from the same set) using ColorBox Petal Points in a magenta tone for the flower and a minty green for the leaves and clear embossed it. Cut them out, 3 of them minus the saucer so they could hang. The teapot (solid image) was inked first with with another shade of green, then stamped the stamp with the inked up flowers then onto my cardstock and clear embossed. I added the gold lines with a gold gel pen. Cut out the teapot. Adhered all the elements.

The quote (Quietfire Design) was stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed then die cut with Nestabilities labels #4, dry embossed and stenciled with some Pan pastels. Attached to the card with a fold down box shape.

The 4th cup with the saucer was scored at around the 1/8th point and then adhered to the card. The piece of lattice I used on the flap is only a single layer and only lightly colored with some green. Everything was put onto a deep pink easel card.
