This week on Timeless Tuesday on the  Flourishes Blog, is a sketch challenge by Silke Ledlow. Interesting sketch. I don't normally do round cards, although we did have the option of putting it in a square.

I used my EK Success Orbis Circle Scissor to cut a circle from white cardstock (at the 120 point). I then used part of a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punch set - Double Loops #42-60002, only using the corner punch of the set and punching around my circle. Didn't think you could do that eh!! It worked as you can see. I sponged Distress around the outside edge (Worn Lipstick & Aged Mahogany).

I folded this beautiful sunny yellow cardstock (Recollections "Spice Market" #356413) to make a regular card, then used the Orbis again, but at the 127 point, so it was a little larger than my circle, cutting through both layers of the card. Ran the front part only through my Cuttlebug with the Plum Blossoms from my Asian Bundle set. Adhered my punched circle to the center. Rubber stamped the quote (Michael's Value Stamp "Of All Possessions") with Versafine Imperial Purple on white cardstock and clear embossed it. Die cut it with Spellbinder's Classic Scallop Large Inverted, embossed and stenciled. Adhered it to the card.

Colored some paper with Pan Pastels, oranges & red, then through Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots folder, brayered high points with Versafine Toffee and embossed with Queen's Gold. Punched out the daisy shaped flowers (PunchBunch). The Sakura flowers (Carla Crafts - small) was punched from some white cardstock colored with Distress/water technique using Dusty Concord & Kaleidacolor Spectrum pad - the pinks & purples. When dry, ran through Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots folder, brayered high points with the Concord and clear embossed. Form shaped the flowers with a large stylus on a thick piece of fun foam, then glued the elements together. Glued down a variegated gauze ribbon, then adhered the flowers.  Added large sized purple faux rhinestones.

The inside is a large circle cut from white cardstock, colored with Pan Pastels in Purple and Magenta, stamped with the quote (Quietfire Design) using Toffee and embossing with Queen's Gold. Edged the circle with a Krylon Gold Leafing pen.
