Over on Flourishes website, they've opened a new shop and are doing a daily challenge on their blog with prizes to celebrate the opening. Yesterday was a sketch which you can find on my blog Here. Today was to make a card for an event. I think I've made 2 congrats cards in my life. So I thought I'd make another - just in case - Big Grin.

I cut out a stencil of the plum blossoms with bird using Tim Holtz mask and my Cricut. Sponged Kaleidacolor Spectrum stamp pads, the pink, purple & green on white cardstock. Then with a Sofft tool and Pan Pastels, sponged some blue all over the white. It's a very pastel shade because I wiped most of the color off before applying it to the card. I used my calligraphic Peel Offs (under the Elizabeth Craft Design label), the gold ones and colored the open spaces with Sakura Stardust Gel Pens. Die cut a large Spellbinder's Labels 8 and used it as a mask to sponge some green from above around the edges. Used a Quickie Glue pen in the centers of each flower and sprinkled some Ritz Micro Fine Glitter "Rose".

Used my Cricut again to cut out the words "KNEW U COULD" as the stopper for the card from white cardstock. Colored it DTP with Versafine Moss Green and embossed with Judikins Rustique Patina. Again sponged the plum blossom design and added some blue. The quote "you are never too old" is from Quietfire Design and stamped with Versafine Majestic Blue and clear embossed. The easel part of the card is done with Bazzill monochrome cardstock in a light olive tone.

NOTE: These and other Peel Offs are my calligraphic word sentiments on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 11 styles available at the moment with another 2 to be available end of 2009 or begin 2010. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday, "Love"; "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary"
