Over on Flourishes website, they've opened a new shop and are doing a daily challenge on their blog with prizes to celebrate the opening. This is day 3 and you can find links to the previous days on my blog or clicking on my Misc Challenges Gallery below. Todays challenge was to case someone's style. Never heard of this term before and wasn't even sure of what it meant until I was hopping along through the blogs. I picked Leslie Miller's style, because I really love the simplicity and cleanliness of her designs. They say so much with what seems to be so little. Here is a link to the card I chose to emulate.

So to start of with I rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Vintage Sepia on white cardstock and clear embossed it. Then rubber stamped the sprig (Hero Arts Shadow & Ele #CL271 set) with Distress Broken China . Then used a Nestabilities Labels 8 die that fit, cut, embossed and sponged the edges with some Distress Brushed Corduroy.

Rubber stamped a small border with the same set, 3 floral stamps assembled on my acrylic block, and repeated the stamping using the Broken China pad and clear embossing. Trimmed it down exactly to fit and then sponged some of the Corduroy on the edges. Mounted both these elements onto Bazzill monochrome cardstock in a medium toned blue that matched the Broken China. Mounted this to a main white card. And to finish the card I added gold half pearls to the centers of the flowers.
