Digital Ink Co has it's 2nd challenge and has given us a recipe to follow. Use 2 Designer Papers (Dry Brushed Red & Blue Jean) and 3 brads or eyelets or something in a 3 combo (the 3 heart brads). And I was checking out some of the other challenges I sometimes enter, so this also works for Saturday Workout (bubble wrap backgrounds) and Lots To Do (Tags)

I first learnt this style of card in a Magenta class taught by Jackie Bartels  and have made it many times since. It's just so much fun.

I started with some white 65# cardstock and the prescribed bubble wrap. I scrunched it up like I would a paper towel, dabbed it onto Distress Stamp pads (Fired Brick, Denim, Broken China) and then onto my paper. I then Misted the paper well so the colors would bleed and run, then pressed a piece of paper towel flat onto the wet cardstock, pressing down to absorb as much moisture as possible. I then ironed it to dry completely and to keep it flat. This gave me a very nice muted background for the quote.

For the tags I lay a piece of bubble wrap flat on my desk, and pressed the same stamp pads randomly over it, then misted with water, and pressed my cardstock on top of it, making sure I got full coverage. Lifted the paper and liked the results. I then put a layer of Distress Crackle paint "Rock Candy". Let that dry, and colored the cracks with Pan Pastels "Ultramarine Blue". Cut two tag sections and mounted it to designer paper which I had folded in half to have the same paper on the front and back. Added the large circles in the same designer blue jean paper as the card. Then added the red center piece.

All the rubber stamps are from Quietfire Design and are rubber stamped with Versafine "Blue Lagoon". Then added the fibers.

Added the 3 red hearts to keep the card flaps closed.
