I've done a couple star books eons ago and had a hankering to do another one... BIG GRIN

I'm even using up scrapbook papers...

All the quotes and sentiments are from Quietfire Design.

Sorry this is not a tutorial. Check my classes page for when and where I'll be teaching this structure.

I cut up a bunch of Tim's "Vintage Shabby" Paper Stash in the pink, blue and grey in the various sizes I needed.

Glued all my edges. Stamped my various quotes/sentiments on white tissue paper (except for cover quotes) using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed, then used a wet paintbrush to outline the shape I wanted torn, adhered to pages. Stamped the cover quotes on the cut off scraps with the black and clear embossed, then die cut the one on the cover (Spellbinders "Romantic Rectangles") and used a decorative blade in a rotary cutter for the back cover quote.

Adhered the blue gauze ribbon under the quotes. It's used to keep the booklet both closed and open.

I punched out edges from more of the scraps as a decorative element, first running through my machine with a Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" folder, then using EK Success "Fleur de Lis" border punch.

Page 1: I cut the "Friend" word, adding hearts on either side, using my electronic cutter and cream toned cardstock. I colored the words and heart with Distress markers, clear embossing the word, and using Ritz micro fine glitter with quickie glue pen for the hearts. I cut a second piece minus the words as more support for the word - it was a bit fragile.

Page 2: added black flourish rhinestones.

Page 3: added cream toned lace down the fold of the pages.

Page 4 & 5: Added white flourish rhinestones

Page 6:  more lace trim
