This is a multi layered type card. The cover is a golden toned vellum which allows you to see some of the hidden layers. The falling leaves on the vellum are outlined in a gold dimensional paint to mimic the leaves on the subsequent pages. The leaves on the left edge overlap onto the back page creating the card hinge. They are maple leaves punched out of embellished tissue paper. The monoline lettering is in gold and accented in walnut ink.

This card won 1st prize at the Heritage Park 2004 Fall Fair in the Handmade Themed Greeting Card Category.

This shows the detailing of the falling leaves on the vellum without the background showing through.

As you open the card you can see the outline of the leaves on the back of the vellum. The first page is card stock enhanced with a streaky design using watercolor pencils. The same leaf design from the front page is now a cut out on the first page. You can see the colored background from the following page peaking through the cut outs. The hinge is made from hand painted Japanese rice paper.

The leaves on the back of the cutout page were painted in a golden tint. The leaves on the second page are painted using watercolor pencils on a cold press watercolor paper. The lettering is again gold monoline accented with walnut ink.

The back of the second page is a green hand made paper embellished with gold flecks. there is a dry embossed maple leaf on the upper right corner of the green paper. The 2 maple leaves were punched out of embellished tissue paper. The lettering is gold monoline accented with walnut ink. The last page is a blank sheet tea dyed to give a more olden look.
