I did the prototype of this design a while ago and decided to do it in real gold. Definite learning experience.

I used Arches black cover which is a heavy black cardstock for the main design. Used real gold leaf (Roberson #80 a 23.75 warm gold) and variegated composition Red Leaf with Jerry Tresser's size. I then used various stylus points for the embossing. Colored in the border area first with a white Prisma colored pencil then with Super Ferby metallic pencils (in a redish, brownish tone). Cut out my design and layered it to a Full Specturm black cardstock then onto Bazzill monochromatic burnt orange toned cardstock. I rounded the corners to mimic the rounded design. The "Thanks" is one of my calligraphic Peel Offs available from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
