ID: MC Dec/15 - Xmas Ornament - International Merry Christmas

Created: December 6, 2015
Modified:

At our Guild's Xmas party this year, celebrated at Kensington Art Supply, Annette gave us a 3.5"dia papier mache Xmas ball to decorate. Thanks Annette. We all had a good time. I applied a couple coats of white gesso and then decided to do the rest of the decorating at home. BIG GRIN

I'm using one of the newest Xmas sets from Suzanne "International Merry Christmas" 6 pce set from Quietfire Design.  as well as an eCut file available on the Silhouette online store "Berry Leaf Snowflake"

I stamped all the International Merry Christmas words using Distress "Barn Door" and clear embossed.

Drew a line around the ball both at the top and bottom and painted with Chromacolor "Chroma Red".

eCut the snowflakes and under piece from white cardstock. One cut at 3" and the bottom one 3.5"

Applied Versamark all over the snowflake piece and embossed with "White/Gold embossing powder. Applied a 2nd coat of Versamark and embossed with Silver Fire Opal. There's a subtle gold hue that sneaks out of the silver opal - a slight contrast between the two pieces.

On the under piece I applied the Versamark and embossed a single coat of the Silver Fire Opal. Punched a hole in the centers for the string to pass thru. Adhered both pieces to the ornament using PVA glue. Tied a Sari ribbon bow and adhered with hot glue.

Added a line of red rhinestone/white pearl border.
