February 2- 4, 2021

I'm taking another online Zoom class with Julie Wildman "Valentine Cards and Env" very similar to the Holiday Card class I took in December. Even though a lot would be similar, there is still a lot of new and good stuff.

ID: Decorated Letter - Happy Valentine's
Size: 4.25"w x 5.5"h

I created the "V" during class and then die cut around portions of it with a Spellbinder's Labels #20 die set.

Done on very heavy black cardstock (unknown brand) pointed pen and Holbein's Pearl White gouache. Colored with Prisma colored pencils.

Adhered to a larger die cut (cream toned), outlined with the bullet tip of a black Zig Writer and then onto my cream toned card.

Size: 5.5"w x 4.25"h

Created the "F", outlined with a black Zig Writer and colored with Derwent Inktense watercolors and a small paint brush.

Wrote in the rest of the word with the bullet tip of the Writer and used metallic markers to surround the letters and the dots.

Die cut the Spellbinder's Labels #20 from cardstock to use as a mask and sponged with Distress "Picked Raspberry".

Drew out my shapes with a Signo Uniball gold gel pen and colored in with Prisma colored pencils.

Border with a gold metallic marker and rounded the corners.

Used a needle nose applicator filled with white something... I think it was gesso... I forgot to put a name on the bottle. Sigh

Anyway wrote out the word n black Canson Ingres paper, let dry then added colored pencil detailing.

same as the above "Valentine" word.

Watered down Walnut ink on calligraphy paper. While wet, dropped in Dr Martin's Radiant watercolors (red, yellow, blue, green, pink) and sprinkled with Schmincke "Rich Gold" powder.

same as the above, except the walnut ink wasn't diluted so the colors are not as evident.

Wet on wet with Radiant watercolors

I don't know what this style of lettering is called so I'm calling it "Club Foot"

I created the alphabet, Then practiced using the letters

I'm using one of y newest pens called "Witch pens' by William Mitchel and walnut ink. When the nib has pressure on the tip, the tines spread apart. I bought a set of 4 sizes. Fun.
Another lettering style Julie demoed.

ID: Env Booklet Card
Size: 4"w x 3.5"h (closed) opens to 10")

I used a leftover piece of gelli print paper done on Arches Text Wove. Sewed in my text paper using 2ply waxed linen thread in a brownish color.

Used Paul Antonio's favorite brush pen for the lettering adding a bit of colored pencil.

Cut out a heart on the flap and lined with another geli print paper which I embossed with Emerald Creek "Iridescent Shimmer" embossing powder.
