I'm taking another online Zoom class with Julie Wildman "Resist Techniques" - 3 days of intensive creating.

ID: Resist - Merry Christmas
Size: 5"h x 6"w

I filled a Molotow pen (3.5mm felt tip) with Pebeo masking fluid and wrote "Merry Chrstmas" on Black Recollections cardstock. When dry painted washes of watercolors (ArtQuest Mica Color "Metallic") in "Super Russet" and ""Super Bronze". Dried and removed the masking. Trimmed down and adhered to my white Staples 110# cardstock. Drew in the ornaments with a black Zig Writer and colored with the same Art Quest paints.

Ct out a stencil from Tim Holtz "Make Your Own Stencils" sheets.  Didn't want to adhere to my Arches Text Wove paper, so covered the stencil with Masking fluid and stuck it to my paper.... (where there's a will there's a way). Washed over with the Art Quest in "Quasar Blue" and sprinkled Schminke gold powder.

Die cut the text with the smaller frame die (Sue Wilson "Festive Collection - Holiday Lattice Frame" set) and the blue background (back side of a DreamWeaver stencil packaging) with the larger frame die. Adhered to a gold patterned wrapping paper (Paper Roots) and then onto my white card.

I masked out a rectangular area, wrote out my word using a Molotow pen I filled with Pebeo masking fluid. When dry painted with Winsor and Newton watercolors, wet on wet. When dry removed the masking tape and added Prisma colored pencil accents in the corners of the letters. Adhered to another piece of the Text Wove paper and Inked in the words "and Bright" with a black Zig Writer. 

Adhered to a red textured cardstock, then a white pearlized cardstock, then to the main red side folded card.

I masked out a rectangular area, wrote out my word using a Molotow pen I filled with Pebeo masking fluid. When dry painted with Winsor and Newton watercolors, wet on wet. When dry removed the masking tape and added Prisma colored pencil accents in the corners of the letters. Inked in the words "To The World" in a funky style using a pointed pen and Holbien gouache (mix of Burnt Umber, Pearl Copper and Schminke gold powder).  Filled in the open spaces of the letters with ArtQuest Metallic watercolors "Super Bronze".

Adhered to a red textured cardstock then to 2 layers of the white pearlized cardstock, then to the main red side folded card.

Size: .6"w x 5.5"h

I drew my pine leaves and wrote out the greeting with a mix of Liquidtex Clear Liquid Gesso mixed with Golden Matte Medium and some water in a needle tipped bottle on cheap watercolor paper. When dry Painted the background with Daniel Smith "Cobalt Blue". When dry rubbed with Art Alchemy "Vintage Gold". Punched out some circles from gold paper. Added a violet blue shadow with Prisma colored pencil.. 

Edged the artwork with a Kuretake gold metallic pen. Adhered to a white cardstock then onto my dark blue card base.

Size: .4.25"w x 5.5"h

I drew my leaves and wrote out the greeting with a mix of Liquidtex Clear Liquid Gesso mixed with Golden Matte Medium and some water in a needle tipped bottle on cheap watercolor paper. When dry painted the background with QoR watercolors (Quinacridone Gold, Permanent Scarlet). When dry rubbed with Art Alchemy green in the leaves and "Vintage Gold" on the words. Added a green Prisma colored pencil shadow.

Edged the artwork with a Kuretake gold metallic pen. Adhered to a aqua blue card base.

I drew my Xmas words with a mix of Liquidtex Clear Liquid Gesso mixed with Golden Matte Medium and some water in a needle tipped bottle on cheap watercolor paper. When dry painted the background with QoR watercolors Quinacridone Gold, and Daniel Smith Ultramarine. Accented with a green Prisma colored pencil. Adhered to a dark green card base.

I drew my words with Daniel Smith Gold Gesso mixed with water in a needle nose bottle. When dry painted the background with QoR watercolors  Permanent Scarlet. Filled in the letters with Poppy Red Derwent Inktese watercolor pencils.

Edged the artwork with a Kuretake gold metallic pen. Adhered to an off white/gold pearlized card base.

Size: .5.5"w x 4.25"h

I drew my words with a mix of Liquitex gesso mixed with water in a needle tipped bottle on cheap watercolor paper. When dry painted the background with QoR watercolors Quinacridone Gold and Permanent Scarlet and Daniel Smith Ultramarine, then misted with water. When dry painted in my mistletoe with Prisma colored pencils and some Holbien gouache. Accented with the colored pencils.

Adhered to a rusty brown card base.

I drew my words with a Molotow pen filled with Pebeo masking fluid. When dry painted the background with QoR watercolors Quinacridone Gold and Permanent Scarlet and Daniel Smith Ultramarine. Outlined the letters with Holbien "Prussian Blue" mixed with Schminke gold powder and a pointed pen. Adhered to a rusty brown and dark blue cardstock then onto my white card base.

I drew my words with a Pebeo masking fluid in a Molotow pen mix of Liquitex gesso mixed with water in a needle tipped bottle on white 110# cardstock. When dry Outlined with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. Moved the color around with a wet paintbrush, Shadowed with a 5B graphite pencil and paper stump.

Adhered to a red cardstock then onto a deep blue card base.

Size: .5"w x 6"h

I masked off the areas with  narrow washi tape (I finally have a use for the rolls I bought...). Painted the various areas and sprinkled with table salt. When dry, removed the tape and wrote in my text with a pointed pen and Holbien gouache (mix of Sumi ink and Schminke gold powder). Adhered to a rusty brown cardstock - offset then onto the red cardstock and the dark blue card base.

This is my favorite piece I created in the 3 days... I love the colors and the way the salt reacted.

I cut my stencil from Tim's Masking stencil. It didn't stick so well, so I applied masking fluid to the back. Painted the background with QoR watercolors Quinacridone Gold and Permanent Scarlet and Daniel Smith Ultramarine.. Sprinkled table salt. When dry removed the masking and shadowed with a 5B pencil and paper stump. Wrote in the rest of the words with a pointed pen in my funky curly lettering style and Bleed Proof ink.

Adhered to a greenish blue textured cardstock and then onto my top folded white card base.

Size: 5.5"w x 4.25"h

Painted my watercolor paper with Daniel Smith Ultramarine blue and sprinkled with coarse Sea Salt and some table salt. When dry removed the salt and wrote in my text with a pointed nib in my curly style lettering. Punched out some snowflakes (Quietfire Design - Elizabeth Craft Designs) from white pearlized cardstock and adhered to card. Adhered everything to a mid blue toned card base. Adhered some AB nail art rhinestones.

Wrote in my words with a Molotw pen filled with Pebeo masking fluid. Painted my watercolor paper with Daniel Smith Ultramarine blue and sprinkled with coarse Sea Salt and some table salt. When dry removed the salt Rubber stamped the snowflakes with Distress pad "Picket Fence" and heat embossed with Stampmania "Glacier White" embossing powder. Adhered to a dark blue cardstock then onto my white card base.
