Georgia Angelopoulos Class - 2 Tones, Tones, Black & White

This section was creating 2 tones (mixing 2 main colors and then their variations).

Below is the Tones (mixing main color with a mid grey created from the black and white section)

The bottom samples are the Black & White (just mixing zinc white with the jet black)

We used either the powdered pigments or gouache mixed with a bit of Gum Arabic and distilled water. A small scoop of paint with about 2 or 3 drops of Gum Arabic (if you put too much, your paint may crackle...), then some water .

All the mosaics were done with combinations of parallel pens, very small flat edge brushes and pointed pen. The squares are done on Canson Biggie Cold Press 90# watercolor paper - smooth side.
