Since the card inside was on an Oriental theme, I thought I'd continue the theme on the envelope. I used a standard white invitation envelope for a 5 x 7 card.

I sponged several colors of Distress Stamp Pads (Mustard Seed, Rusty Hinge, Walnut Stain). I sponged the yellow all over than the other two in various areas, overlapping them sot there were lots of variations of color. Then I put a second layer of color. Because these colors have a transparency to them, the layers can really be built up to produce rich colors. I then misted with water, allowed the water to activate the dye inks, then dried with a hairdryer.

Rubber stamped the Oriental characters (unknown background stamp purchased at Michael's) with Versafine Vintage Sepia. Wrote in the name with the bullet tip of a Zig Writer in a flicking motion.

Added the Year of the Monkey stamp.
