Edmonton Guild Envelope Exchange 2020

I love decorating envelopes and decided to join in this exchange

 

For the envie I used a parallel pen and a funky lettering style I recently came across and really liked then used a gold gel pen for the doodling. Stamped the Penny Black Poinsettias.

After a class with Sally Towers-Sybblis (Watercolor Xmas cards) hosted by the Edmonton Calligraphy Society, I created a few cards...

For the envie I used a Kuretake #8 brush pen that Paul Antonio loves in an on the edge style I saw on Julie WIldman's Holiday Card class this month. Added some colored pencil detail. Drew in the poppies with a red Color Brush pen. On the card I stamped the poppies (Penny Black) using Distress pads, misting lightly and stamping.

For the envie I used a 6.0 Parallel pen in a style I saw in Julie Wildman's Holiday Card handout.. Added some colored pencil detail. Drew in the poppies with a red Color Brush pen. On the card I stamped the poppies (Penny Black) using Distress pads, misting lightly and stamping.

For the envie I used a Zig Wrter to draw the letters and colored with a Pentel Color Brush in a "Decolot" typeface by Olga Ryzychenko.  Sponged Distress inks around the edges.

For the card - Halloween style... using Inkadinkado rubber stmps.

For the envie I used "Park Lane NF" typeface by Nick Curtis using a Zig Writer and a parallel pen with Vermillion Sumi ink. Sponged Distress inks around the edges.

For the envie I did a simplified decorated enchanted letter a la Heather Held. a bit of 23kt gold leaf. Pointed pen calligraphy. Sponged Distress inks around the edges.

For the card I went on the Fibonacci theme using colored pencils.

ID: "Renita Land" (Aug/20)

For the envie and card, loading a 6.0 Parallel pen with water then dropping in Bister inks (Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Mahogany). Shadowed with a 7B graphite pencil and paper stump. Dry embossed using Cuttlebug embossing folders and sponging the high points with Distress pads.

For the envie and card, used an automatic pen with 2 prongs, first using Holbein gouache "Flame Red" then using Walnut Ink and dropping in Schminke gold powder. Dry embossed using Cuttlebug embossing folders and sponging the high points with Distress pads.

 

ID: "Jen Peddlesden" (Aug/20)

A little bit of Julie Wildman "inside Curve" lettering and Gemma Black flowers. Both those classes were fabulous... I used Prisma colored pencils on the card. On the envie I used Tombow watercolor pens and colored pencils for the flowers.
