I created the background of the envie on Columbia Mills end paper using gouache on my Geli plates and misting with water and brayering.

I recently finished a class with Ewan Clayton "Art Nouveau" and this was one of the lettering styles during that time... Love playing with them. Used a black Zig Writer. Pine sprig with the gouache. and Schminke powder.

The card was created during an online ZOOM by Texas Lettering Arts "Holiday Projects 2022 taught by Younghae Chung using Bleed Proof white on black cardstock.

On Arches Text Wove paper and using a Dreaming Dogs "Little Lie" ruling pen with deAtramentis Pearlescent ink "Carneliean-Red/Gold. Shadowed with an Oriental black brush pen. Adhered to a regular 5 x 7 envelope

Card: I was in a mood to play with my Rosemary & Co Triangle Brushes and Winsor and Newton paints. Worked on Stillman & Birn Nova Tria Mixed Media paper (tan) and adhered to a minty green card base.

Saw a word done in this style of lettering and thought it was fun so tried to recreate it... used a 3.0parallel pen and Sumi ink and built up the letter.

On Strathmore 400 Series Calligraphy Paper and using Winsor & Newton watercolors (Permanent Alizarin Crimson and Winsor Blue) painted my designs.

ID: Susan Mentis (Feb 2022)

After taking a class with Pat Blair "Romancing The Line" thought I'd practice...

On Strathmore 400 Series Calligraphy Paper and using Holbien Opera  and Grumbacher Thalo Purple and various greens painted my designs. Flowers down with a Rosemary & Co smallest Triangle brush.

ID: Gail Fournier (Jan 2022)

Another portion of the w/c background created during Jacqueline Sullivan's ECS class and Liesbet's style lettering using Bister powders and a 4.5 parallel pen and water.

ID: Roxanne Smit (Jan 2022)

I created the front of the envelope and card on 90# watercolor paper during a class with Jacqueline Sullivan hosted by ECS.

Lettering is Bister powders sprinkled  and activated with a 3.0 Parallel pen and water in Liesbet's style of lettering. The card with Sumi ink.

It reminded me of prehistoric type lettering hence the dinosaur stamp.
