I love the Hobbit... and came across this riddle which I can't remember ever reading. Again I'm using my Fickle font that I created, using a pointed pen, Sumi ink on Arches Text Wove paper. I splattered, splashed, stamped and colored the background using Dylusions spray inks, colored pencils and various stamp pads. Let that dry. Did my calligraphy with the Sumi ink, when dry, shadowed the letters and added the little details with a mix of Copic opaque white ink and water and my pointed pen. Drew in my journal lines and colored the black areas with a Zig Writer. Added some glitter to the fish bodies. And it's another piece I didn't pick for Stampede... Quote: Alive without breath. As cold as death. Never thirsty, ever drinking. All in mail never clinking. JRR Tolkien "The Hobbit" riddle: what is a fish |
