Stampede08 - Dragonfly Image:
7"w X 7"h Created: June 3, 2008 I used Stonehenge black cardstock for the main work. The large letter "d" was done on Arches 140# HP watercolor paper. I drew my large letter then outlined it with a black Zig marker. I used Twinkles H2o's (iridescent Green, Grass Green, Majestic Blue, a touch of passion & iridescent Gold), working wet on wet and blending, then sprinkled some Neuberg-E-Ebel gold powder on the upper green section. I stacked the two cardstocks together and cut our my "d" from both at the same time so that one would slip into the other without any gaps and the letter would be flush to the cardstock. Wrote in my haiku using Ecoline Gold and a Nikko G nib. Sprayed workable fixative because the gold does smear if not protected. Punched out the dragonfly from some previously decorated paper. |

Dragonfly Matted |
Detail of mat. I used a very beautiful embossed black core mat which I rubbed a light coating of Rub On's in brass, just to highlight the texture. |
